At The Cheshire Cookery School you can experience a whole world of cooking where our passion for food is the key ingredient.

Our cookery school is set in comfortable, modern surroundings. By using the most up to date equipment, you’re able learn new and time-tested techniques side by side.

Professional yet informal, we mix fun with education and cater for all levels of cooks from beginners to the most proficient.

Throughout the year we have a diary full of inspiring and exciting cookery classes and are an ideal venue if you are looking for cookery courses in Manchester and the Cheshire area. You can choose from full days, half days and evening classes that range from Bread Making to Italian, Thai to Fabulous Fish, and our customers’ firm favourite: Dinner Parties Made Easy.

Venue for Hire

The Cheshire Cookery School is a light, modern series of rooms, ideal for one off events. We have hosted food launches, photo shoots, product testing, as well being used by film crews, food bloggers, and independent chefs.

Whether you need a fully tailored day including chefs and assistants, or would rather have the space all to yourself, we can help you create a memorable day. Our friendly management team are happy to discuss all your requirements, and our past experiences may well bring new ideas to your event.

There are four main areas available for your exclusive use when hiring the cookery school:

The Cooking School
In the spacious, highly equipped Cooking School, we have a large two-person chef station and 16 workstations that are large enough for two people to share getting very hands on with products and recipes.

We use induction hobs and state-of-the-art ovens with plenty of fridges and freezers. We have a full range of Kitchen Aid processors, mixers and blenders, and the I O Shen knives are frequently admired for their sharpness!

The Demonstration Room
The demonstration room is a clean, brightly lit area with rows of chairs that comfortably seat over 20 people. There is a large demonstration cooking station, with a big overhead mirror to allow everyone to watch the demonstration easily.

The cooking area is fitted with state-of-the-art cooking equipment and appliances, dishwasher, fridges, freezers, hot water tap and easy-to-use AEG induction hobs and ovens.

The Dining & Meeting Room
With a large dining table that easily sits 20 people and informal seating area, this is a hugely sociable space in the school.

It is a great space to sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour in the cookery school, discuss what you’ve learned in the demonstration room, or to use as a base camp for the days activities.

This room also has a small kitchen with 2 dishwashers, a sink and instant hot water – the perfect spot for our very helpful assistants to make your guests feel welcome with a selection of hot and cold refreshments.

The Wine Tasting Room
This is a cosy room with a real wine cellar feel to it. Here you can greet your guests with a nice glass of sparkling wine before your event starts. It lends itself beautifully to new drink launches, photo shoots and filming.

Simon Rimmer
The Cheshire Cookery School and Simon Rimmer are joining together for a day of Simon teaching ‘Seasonal and Signature Dishes’.

Your day will begin with a coffee and a chat with Simon in the lounge at the school, and then it’s through into the kitchens for demonstrations of Simon’s culinary genius. You will then have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves get on an apron, and learn new skills and enjoy replicating Simon’s dishes under his expert instruction. The cooking will begin with canapés, followed by a starter, on to the main course and will finish with a desert.

Simon Rimmer is great fun and light hearted in his approach to cooking; this will be the ethos of the day and will show in the finished meal that you will enjoy with Simon relaxing around the dining table with a glass of wine or two at the end of your day.

This promises to be a fantastic day at the school - which is not to be missed, and would also make a perfect gift.
